John Young Museum of Art highlights

The museum was created when the artist John Young donated his collection of artwork from Asia, the Pacific Islands, and Africa in the hopes of providing art education to students and the community. These are works he collected during his travels, and most of the works on display today are from that collection.

The John Young Museum of Art is overseen and administered by the College of Arts & Humanities and is well integrated into the curriculum and teaching goals of the Department of Art and Art History. The museum supports Asian-Pacific artists-in-residence in and programming centred around students and educational initiatives.
