Stayed here for one night when we went Whale watching. It was a self check in property but the hosts responded very quickly when I asked questions. The actual apartment was a bit dark but it was in the basement so to be expected. There were all the amenities needed which was great as we cooked dinner there that night. It was far from any town so you have to make sure you either bring food or eat before you get there but is very convenient to the East ferry if you are going Whale watching on Brier island!

The place was large and spacious as we had apartment three, it could have used some lamps in the living room and some larger coffee mugs. Was quiet and easy to find. The people who own it are very friendly and accommodating. If you don’t like firm beds, then I would not recommend that apartment as they are very firm. There was a smell of cigarette smoke in the unit and on the towels and face cloth, which was unpleasant since we didn’t smoke. With all that said, I would stay there again and bring my own towels and face clothes. It is much cheaper than most accommodations on the Digby neck and it is very large with two big bedrooms, a full bathroom and a half in sweet bath. It is stocked with your basic needs for every day cooking so we did a lot of our own cooking while we were there. You definitely get a good deal for the price.

Horrible experience!!! I booked a room with 2 beds for 2 adults and 2 children. On the morning of the booking, the property owner messaged me saying that the ‘apartment’ will be in the basement (which was not specified in the listing detail). In any case, i went to the property after driving 30km on a rural road and found that the basement ‘apartment’ actually has only 1 small bedroom (with 1 bed) and a living room. When i contacted the owner, she said that it was Expedia’s fault as she could not put the bedroom and basement detail in the listing (which does not make sense) and offered an air mattress for the kids. I refused and drove 160km in the dusk to a hotel in Yarmount (no other hotel was available in Digby). Avoid this property at all cost. In my opinion, the owner should be blacklisted in Expedia / Hotels.com for misrepresentation.

Its rustic feel is authentic with the cove, as warm & welcoming as the locals. Few cricks & cracks in the night but is customary with an old building, can catch a nice view just over the trees in the morning on the left side of the building.

The property was clean and pretty much what you would expect. It was close to the ferry which we were going to take to the island where we were booked for whale watching the next day. Only draw back is there are no close ammenities to eat, buy grocery, etc, so take what you need in food, etc.

Loved location. Watched sunset in back of property and sunrise from our bedroom window. Bed was terrible. Had to cook your own breakfast and share a shower/tub

Good location for exploring Digby Neck and the islands. Wear shoes indoors: the floors are filthy. Everything above floor level appear clean.

the pictures did not show what I got i was in someones basement with an uncomfortable bed and daybed i heard the poeple up stairs walking around even at 3 in the morning this was NOT an inn i only stayed one of five nights

Found the bed very noisy. Very small room. Had no shampoo or soap in shower. Arrived at 8 pm and left at 8:45 the next day. We saw no one. Breakfast was very limited. Toast and cereal. Cooked and cleaned ourselves. It was very quite there.

The property info said private bath and shower, however, the shower was shared. The included continental bfast was just cereal and toast. You make everything yourself. Again, not mentioned in the info. We skipped it as we didn't have time to make a pot of coffee. Staff was super nice and helpful though.

The property is not kept up well. We had “family” room. It was the basement, it smelled gross musty, damp stink. Beds were a wore out futon and a crappy double bed that was not Comfortable. We will not go back and we would not recommend this to anyone.

We only stayed one night and arrived close to 6pm so very limited interaction, but Crystal was lovely and had a great information packet ready with our keys. I tried to access a walking path to the beach it it was overgrown and hard to find. Our rooms had no AC or even a fan so although it wasn’t hot the room was stuffy. Nice breakfast array of cereal, milk, coffee and eggs we were welcome to prepare whenever we wanted . Much of the furniture and fixtures in kitchen and bathrooms is dated but clean and functional. Campground seemed busy. 30 minutes drive to any other food and they close early 7pm so plan ahead! Would stay here again with more time to explore.

We checked in the room, and checked out of the room. There were cobwebs on the ceiling and behind the door. The baseboard heaters were rusty and full of dust. There were plastic wrappers under the bed and a white substance on the bedside table. The windowsills were full of black dirt (or mold). A picnic table outside was literally falling apart. The lady at the reception desk was very understanding and refunded our money.

Remote but comfortable

Our stay was completely self-service, which worked out fine for us. There were supplies provided which allowed us to prepare a breakfast of french toast. Room privacy was fine, but walls pretty thin. A good stay, overall.
