I only live an hour from this hotel, so I was prepared for a run home if I needed it, but no need. From the approach, the hotel was attractive. Parking was at a bit of a premium, but I got it sorted. I needed an accessible room, which was accessible by elevator (fine for my needs,) but not on the first floor. Just specify your accessibility needs and I'm confident that the friendly staff will work hard to make it happen for you.
I was greeted with a warm cookie and given a huge smile when I arrived. I had a few problems with my door keys, and they came to me to assist. The shuttle drivers were friendly and helpful when I couldn't find some of my belongings. (I found them.) And the people at the registration desk also made calls on my behalf. The housekeeping staff was tip-top. I never saw anything on the floors, sinks, showers, or beds - inside the rooms, or inside the conference spaces. The hotel offers tipping using a QR code service which was very convenient and assures you that the tip goes directly to the person you intend to tip. I really liked that feature.
Overall, we had a great con there, and the staff treated everyone as though they were the most important person at the convention. Some people were in costume or makeup, and I'm sure some of the costumes were suprising, but the staff took it all in stride and treated everyone as though they were just another regular, but equally-important customer, and just helped everyone enjoy, relax, and have a good time. 5/5
