We prefer ‘room only’ accommodation so that we can eat when and where we choose, and experience the local cuisine and culture. Blue Horizons rooms have a kitchen equipped with a fridge/freezer, cooker/oven, pots and pans and a toaster, so it is possible to prepare your own meals if you prefer. It is only a short walk to the supermarket where most food items are available.
The gardens are beautifully taken care of and there is an abundance of different trees, plants and shrubs with a variety of flowers, scents and colour.
There is a well maintained swimming pool with loungers and an adjacent bar and restaurant. If you prefer the sea and sand, it is close to the famous Grand Anse beach or slightly further away is the BBC beach.
The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and always greet you with a friendly wave or conversation.
Blue Horizons is an eco resort, so they take care to save water and they harness the abundant sunshine through solar panels to provide the hot water for the rooms.
Some of the fixtures and fittings are a bit tired and worn but the resort is gradually and constantly upgrading and improving. Nevertheless, this is one of our favourite holiday destinations and we are very likely to return.
