Close to the city's main railway terminal, I only walked about 5 minutes from the main station to this hotel. Despite of my late evening arrival, the receptionist was welcoming and friendly. All the staffs I encountered were all nice. The reception is open from 0700am until 1100pm, I am not sure if they can check someone in after 11pm. They very much observe who is coming and going, so it is a safe place to stay.
There is no lift/elevator as other previous guests had mentioned, however my room was located on the first floor (one floor above the ground floor) and my luggage was light, I had no issue.
The room was cleaned well, a very much standard room in Taiwan. If you are not familiar with Taiwanese bath-toilet unit, you may be surprised as the entire bathroom can be very wet after a shower.
On the second day they told me that they wanted to decently clean my room as the room had odour. It indeed smelled as if a previous guest had smoked. It seemed like that the ventilation was malfunctioning and hence the smell came from somewhere, so my second night was more peaceful without smell.
If you just need a place to sleep, it can be an alternative for you, provided that you are comfortable with Taiwanese style bath/toilet unit, with which I am fine.
