We were there for a concert and it was extremely busy and we had to wait to check in, so we dropped our bags in the room and had to quickly leave before getting a good view of it, but we noticed the cigarette smoke immediately. When we got back at 1:30am we found some ants on the desk and noticed the bathroom looked like it had
Water leaking previously. We went down to the front desk and no one was there (found out the clerk was sitting out front, smoking cigarettes with one of the guest). We ended up just going to bed cause it was only a few hours before we had to get up and check out. The common areas such as hallway and elevators, were filthy throughout the entire hotel. One of us woke up with a couple ants in our bed and then we noticed the bathroom was leaking from the ceiling from the upstairs room showering. There was a puddle on the bathroom floor and clearly you could tell that the previous damage we thought from an old leak had been going on for a long time. When I let the clerk know at check out of the issues, they said why didn’t you say anything in the middle of the night and I told them nobody was at the desk. And when I asked about a refund, they said they can’t help me because I booked through a third-party, hotels.com, and basically told me too bad. I spoke with hotels.com and they are trying to remediate the situation..
