Oasis in Kansas

It was a perfect place. Cheap, clean, comfortable. Got the best nights sleep in a long time, according to my sleep app. It was quiet. If you are not high maintenance, it is perfect, understanding it is not a high roller club. For the cost, it was a 5-star!

Relatively a nice property that is kept pretty clean. Had some long term stay people who had grills outside, and one had an ironing board. The room itself was clean and maintained. I travel alone and have stayed in name brand hotels that have been way worse and I didn't feel safe in those. Here I felt safe and even took a walk at night.

Price was great! Clean but needs updating. Both inside and out to be more appealing. Liked that I could park my motorcycle right outside my door. Front desk person was super nice but she was wearing dirty clothing so first impressions were not great but room was good. Bedding and bed nice!

Just the most inexpensive place to stay for a family funeral. In room coffee was ok. Was too late (8:30) for whatever breakfast they had, if they did. Walls were paper thin, listened to my neighbor hack and couch all night. Car doors slamming all night. Heat worked fine. Could have used an extra blanket as mine was paper thin. King room and lots of flat pillows. 2 nice desks but you have to move them to get to power plugs for your devices. Internet was basically unusable, nowhere near todays minimums. You get what you pay for.

Got a good nights sleep

We were looking for a cheap hotel for a bicycling trip. We got a good nights sleep and that is what really counts. But there were issues. Bottom of the tub was all bubbled up making it uncomfortable to stand in the shower. One light did not work, and the only shampoo we found was obviously left by a previous guest. We opted out of the breakfast as it was only cold items. Good selection of TV channels, we were able to find a movie to watch and the price was right.

My expectations were low due to the overall price. Smoke detector missing. Many lights switches were not functional. Microwave not functional. Drain plug for shower/tub missing. A/C worked bed was ok so worked for a crash pad while doing the dirty kanza event in emporia so the basics were covered.

Trap motel

I had to beg for clean towels and sheets. Even then the housekeeper was rude as if it wasnt her job to handle issues like that. Room had grunge everywhere and i had to clean it before i let my kids in. Towel rod was broke. And hair drier didnt work. There was absolutely no breakfast offered and all ice machines were out of order.

It took forever for the guy to come to the counter. I got the room thru Orbitz and rented a king size bed. Was put in the furthest building from the office and when we got to the room in was 2 queen beds. To late and to far to complain. First thing my husband notices is the wires hanging from the ceiling where the smoke alarm was supposed to be. Again it was 2 in the morning and we were exhausted. The floor would have been more comfortable than the sorry excuse was for the beds. The room was so bleak. Said there was a breakfast, when we went to check out there was a basket with a note to put our keys in and a basket with 5 plastic wrapped sorry of an excuse “pastries”. The water had an out of order sign. Again no one around to tell them they got the room wrong and it was missing the smoke alarm. Couldn’t wait to get out of there.

Cheapest stay in town for a reason

If you're just passing through late at night and simply need a place to sleep, this *might* be ok. However, if you have even moderate level of requirements for comfort and safety, do yourself a favor and sleep in your car. The good/acceptable: Ashley at the front desk was helpful, nice. Just doing her job. Doors were secure, felt safe in that regard. Towels were clean and I think (probably) the linens were as well. The bad/unacceptable: rooms were freezing, took about an hour to get both heated and once heated very difficult to regulate thru the night. Smoke detectors had been removed from both rooms! That can't be legal... Nice ashtray sitting outside one room. Carpet left me keeping my shoes nearby. Dead bugs between to adjoining room doors. This motel mostly served its purpose as I was just in town for an early morning event -just wish I hadn't brought my family along to deal with this. 99% chance I won't stay here again.
