The hotel it self is ok, but there is a serious problem: you do NOT get a direct number to the hotel, but to an international call center, and the description of WHERE the hotel actually is located might be necessary for people to find it. When the description says that it is "close to Robinson's Cybermall", that is not TRUE! So who will pay my extra expenses to find another taxi to search for the needle in the haystack? There is not even a house number in the description, they just give the name of J.P. Laurel Avenue, which must have thousands of building, hotels and businesses, as it is one of the main streets in Davao.
Now, the Hotel also has another name, that should be mentioned, to make it easier to find: Travellers Inn. And it is situated across from a CALTEX gas station, far away from the said Robinsons cybermall!
The hotel itself is allright, but it is not really finished yet, so there is no wifi in the rooms. And only ONE international TV-channel. The remote control did not work. The room is clean, but small.
If you travel with your own vehicle, the location should be fine. But there are not many options in the vicinity for food, drinks etc. I ended up in the Pizzeria close by, and bought some overprized drinks and noodles from the Caltex gas station across the street. So you will need to take a taxi or jump on a jeepny to get anywhere, really.
The price was a bargain, but bad location overshadows the price.
Otherwise, the staff is very friendly.
