So my husband reserved me a suite just for an overnight away from home to get some much needed rest without kids. The hotel itself is tucked away, so no real traffic noise. When you enter the lobby it appears well taken care of and clean. The customer service was good. The man at the front desk was friendly and helpful when my key initially didn’t work. Then I got to my room. It was definitely nothing to write home about. At one time I’m sure it was a decent room. Now the rooms wallpaper is peeling, the furniture tattered, and the bathroom needs some TLC… cracked shower tile, some mold stained caulk, the ceiling paint is bubbling and has the starts of mold. Still I overlooked it because it was clean and I was exhausted. Then I went to take a hot shower before watching some tv in bed. The water was just warm, in no way was it getting slightly hot. So after a shower that left me shivering when I was done, I went to turn on the tv and lay down… and the tv would only turn on and immediately turn off. I tried about 5 or 6 times with zero luck. At this point I was ready to cry, but figured I just lay in bed and watch my iPad…. But the constant noise from the hall was drowning that out. I’d officially had enough of this crud show that should have been relaxing. I went ahead and packed my stuff up because I was ready to just go home…. At least I knew what I was getting by there.
