I strongly urge guests not to stay at this hotel. It is dated, poorly maintained, and absolutely not 5-star standard. There were no basic amenities in the room, no staff to help with luggage at check-in or check-out, and service was consistently disappointing.
Our shower leaked across the bathroom floor and was never fixed despite daily complaints. I slipped twice. We had to call staff after every shower to clean it—once waiting 3 hours. We also found blood stains on our bedding and were asked if we wanted to change it ourselves as no staff were available.
Breakfast was terrible—stale buffet, limited variety, and burnt omelettes daily. We ate at the hotel restaurant on our first night; the food took over an hour to arrive, and my dietary requests (no pork, dressing on the side) were completely ignored.
We had booked 4 rooms for 4 nights to celebrate my mum’s 60th, and multiple anniversaries. Despite informing guest relations in advance, nothing was acknowledged. The guest relations team were dismissive, and the assistant manager was rude at checkout—rolling her eyes and threatening to call the police when I said I’d like to record our conversation due to how I was being treated.
This trip was meant to be special, but it ended on a deeply upsetting note, it was stressful, unsafe, and upsetting. We will be formally raising a complaint. This was not an acceptable experience.
