I recently stayed at a wonderful family-owned hostel that I can’t recommend highly enough for travelers seeking a low-key experience. FANTASTIC Hostel. Marco and his family/staff were friendly and professional, zero negative issues, ALL good. Very quiet for 3 nights, just a 5 min walk from the pier and all else. Quick check-in. Room was clean & comfortable, great air conditioning and Wi-Fi. They even stored my bag my last morning after check-out so I could hike until my afternoon boat departure. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Note that this review is based on a father and 5yr old son travelling in the Galapagos Islands. Booking for San Cristobal was rather last minute and when the search results highlighted this property for budget, location, and cleanliness / comfort, I selected it. I knew the moment we walked in we had made the right decision. The family run hotel was really good. As we were out all day, every day, when we come back we want a comfortable, clean bed, some aircon, and a hot shower. There was one double bed for us and we both slept well. The shower was good but don't look at appearances, it works. The family were so kind and friendly towards us that they merit an additional mention. We were welcomed and made to feel very much at home. It's not far from the main street and ferry, there are laundries, some shops, and a wonderful bakery close to the place.
