Lovely hotel overall, and Marylebone is a gem of a neighborhood. Our room was comfy, cozy, beautifully furnished and clean. The pool and fitness center are part of a public gym. They are both high quality in terms of equipment, service, amenities and cleanliness. WARNING IF YOU ARE WITH CHILDREN POOL HOURS ARE LIMITED 10-12 and 3-5. This basically means that if you are out sightseeing during the day your kids cannot use the pool. My 16 year old swims laps, so that restriction seemed ridiculous. More importantly - IT WAS NOT DISCLOSED BEFORE WE BOOKED. This should be more clear not only on hotels.com but also on the hotel’s website. There is no mention of this anywhere (see screenshots from the hotel website). I understand why they would restrict times for little kids splashing around, but disclose it on the website instead of telling guests when they are checking in. And maybe have the cut off at 15, not 18.
Room service breakfast was wonderful, as were the housekeeping and front desk staff. Service overall was excellent.
The hotel is a little out of the way from tourist areas, which is good and bad. The neighborhood is quiet and has great restaurants and shops, but you need to walk 10 minutes to the closest tube and bus stops. That said, it’s a good retreat from the madness of Oxford Circus or Piccadilly Circus.
