Our stay was unfortunately disappointing. The mattress was very old and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The air conditioning also wasn’t working properly, and our room stayed around 80°F, which made it very uncomfortable.
On our first night, there was a storm that caused the power to go out for the entire night. We understand that weather is beyond the hotel’s control, but we were on the second floor and the elevator wasn’t working because of the outage, so carrying luggage and going up and down the stairs multiple times was very inconvenient.
To make matters worse, the power went out again the following day, and there was no hot water on either day. While unexpected issues can happen, having multiple power outages, no air conditioning, no hot water, and no elevator made for a very frustrating stay.
One final disappointment was our experience with the hostess at the Lola Rooftop restaurant. Every time we returned to the hotel, she questioned where we were going, even after I had already told her we were hotel guests staying there for two nights. It made us feel unwelcome and as though we had to justify entering the property each time, which was unnecessary and uncomfortable.
The staff was otherwise courteous, but overall the condition of the room and the repeated maintenance issues made this stay far below what we expected.
