The Great Southern in Melbourne is a very good "value" hotel --not flash, but very well located and comfortable -- for the money, extremely good. Some rooms do not have windows and that is not ideal, but again, for the money ... Location directly across from Southern Cross station with trams out the front as well is good as well.
