A lovely traditional country hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was beautifully presented and clean. The food was very good. I would certainly stay at this hotel again .

Such a memorable stay for my husband’s 70th Birthday. Our family were all made to feel so welcome and the meal for twelve was perfectly presented. I want to recognise particularly Izzy and Emma for their service as it went above and beyond.

6/10 Buena

What we liked was the location as it was about 15 min walk into Brockenhurst where there were some nice pubs and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a standard classic room which was very tired and quite small as was the bathroom. I can’t speak of other rooms but it definitely needs attention. Breakfast cooked to order which is a plus. If we were to return it would have to be in a larger room which wasn’t available at time of booking.

Really loved this place. OK the weather was brilliant, so we could spend evening in the garden. But I was very sad to leave to go home. Can'r wait to visit again.

It was a lovely hotel. Real shame they didn’t have air conditioning, although they provided fans which helped a little.

The hotel was lovely, excellent position, our room was at the front brilliant for watching ponies and cows wandering outside. We ate in the bar the staff and food were lovely

The food service and staff were exemplary, the bed however wasn’t. I get that hotels have to cover for people wanting twin rooms , however when paying for a delux room I expect a double bed , not two singles pushed together. Very uncomfortable nights sleep.

Stunning room. View of garden was great. There was a wedding event the following night so the hotel was closed to the public the following day. The restaurant was quiet that night but good food was served. We were very happy with the site and surroundings. We didn't have breakfast but were genuinely happy with the stay. Staff were very busy given the impending event but we felt we were looked after.

Lovely room for a relaxing stay in the New Forest. The food (dinner and breakfast) was standard hotel food—not bad but not great. The dinner was presented in a gourmet style but of average quality.

We had a 1hr delay for our main course for dinner and there was no explanation or even a warning this was going to be the case, then we had a 25min delay for 1 x dessert. A lot of groups were also having a problem with their dinners but if they had of explained then we would have been prepared.

There are old reviews on YouTube that show the hotel before the new owners took over, and the refurbishment that has clearly improved the quality of the hotel. They do not represent this hotel and how good it is today. The owners could probably do with inviting some travel vloggers and getting some more exposure.
