Location was excellent and parking was good
The apartment was clean but it didnāt smell very nice. I think it was the shower drain.
Although an apartment for 4 people it only had 3 mugs and one of those was badly chipped and shouldnāt be used. There were only 2 small water glasses .Each bed only had one bedside lamp.
Overall it was not comfortable and I expected better
Accommodation information is misleading, pictures are not reflective. The Wolsey is accessed through a back entrance off a small car park. The only ground floor window is the entrance door which faces the car forecourt, no openings. The Wolsey has no access to the rest of the period building. The room rate is very high given the low standard of bed/mattress, towels and cleanliness. There is a significant drain odor that permeates the entire area. Car parking space is not guaranteed, the general public use the car park. This is likened to student accommodation.
Location is perfect, walking in the town within minutes. We managed to park at the back with no problems but there is on street if needed. Bedrooms large and so quiet, Showers excellent and the living area and kitchen large and spacious, could have done with a few dishwasher tabs but thatās just a minor grumble!
A very nice and modern apartment with all the facilities and very smooth check in process.
Very close to the center and everything accessible in a walking distance.
A couple of minor things to be improved to make the stay even better.
Slightly more careful with the cleanliness as were some spots needed more attention but not something that is not possible to stay in.
The toiletries should be supplied in a daily base or provide sufficient for the stay.
We stayed for two nights and the 2nd day we run out of shower gel.
Really lovely apartment and ideal for what we needed. Much bigger inside than expected and the location is excellent. We only managed to get one of the free parking spaces on one of our days stay but could park on the street directly outside which was a reasonable cost.
Kitchen had everything we needed.
We would consider this accommodation again,
We had a wonderful stay here! Andy the property manager was so helpful in every regard.
We stayed for my daughter's graduation and we arrived to Champagne and Truffles, it was above and beyond and we very much appreciated it.
A wonderful stay and a wonderful team running 52 Old Elvet!
Really comfortable flat in the very centre of Durham. Tall celiling, gorgeous big sash windows, nicely furnished. Immaculately clean. Excellent bathroom and very well-equipped kitchen. My only criticism (and it is a small but crucial one) is the duvet. It was horribly lumpy and clumpy. We had a fabulous stay. Thank you.
Great location, just minutes walk from the centre of town but really quiet (quiet enough to sleep with the windows open). Lots of space and well stocked with everything you need
This was a great place to stay close to the center of town though very quiet and just a few steps from the river. The staff was great and considered all our needs and responded promptly when we had an issue or a question.
The apartment was very comfortable and spacious and a perfect location for visiting Durham. There was plenty of parking close to the apartment and everything was within walking distance. Check in was easy and the hosts were friendly and well organized. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Durham!
This is a charming older inn-type property, but it's been thoroughly modernized, and it is located right at the edge of everything going on in central Durham. Lovely stay.
From start to finish our stay was absolutely fantastic, no complaints whatsoever both the property itself and the owners are first class, we look forward to staying again soon.
We would thoroughly recommend this gem for anyone visiting the area.
