The Good:
The staff was super friendly and overall great.
Breakfast was a box standard continental breakfast offefing a variety of cereals, mini muffins, bagles, bread, oranges and banans, juice, coffee, yogurt, and condiments... A bit basic, but, will get you going if you don't feel like eating sit down or fast food once you get on the road.
Pool area was maintained and functional and was open until 11pm for those who wanted to use it. Though if you have reasons for not wanting to slip and fall, fair warning, the floor gets soaked all the way to the doors.
The Bad:
Hotel is located literally 60 feet or less from A VERY ACTIVE RAILWAY.
Hotel does NOT have an elevator despite being two stories, and the stairwells, albeit lit, are lit poorly due to their lighting design. Folks with bad eyesight may be in for trouble as the stairs are SOLID BLACK RUBBER COATED.
Door to the rooms used could, unfortunately, be pushed open from the hallway if the top latch abd deadbolt were not engaged.... Had to physically pull yhe door up half an inch JUST to engage the deadbolt properly to make the door feel even slightly secured.
Overall, this feels very much like an old factory worker hotel that Days Inn (or a franchisee) purchased RECENTLY(within the last year or so) and have been in the process of cleaning it up and fixing it's flaws.
