Booked this hotel for one night. The guy at the front hardly said anything to me. When I asked where my room was, he said "First floor" and pointed to the sign for the Ice Machine. I walked towards the back and couldn't find my room. From the front counter he yelled at me that it was just a few steps more. When I got to a certain door he yelled for me to stop, saying THAT was the room door. I explained that I didn't know WHICH DOOR since NONE of the doors in that hallways had NUMBERS. The floor in the hallway was completely torn up. a large roll of carpeting was off to the side, along with dust, plastic, etc. All a mess. The lighting fixture above the doors wasn't even installed....just wires poking thru the ceiling out of the hole.
I had trouble opening the door, because the knob wasn't working properly. The clerk, frustrated with me, rattled it a few times and it finally opened. Once inside the room, though, I couldn't flip the 'lock' shut because it was broken.
The room is pretty disgusting, and wasn't ready at all for travelers. Things half-painted, a chair MISSING from the desk area, and a thin TV that was NOT mounted to anything. Just a big square hole in the wall where the cables were going to go. The TV was literally BALANCED on top of the counter, to the point that if I nudged the table it would have fallen over. Yes, it was that bad, ridiculous.
HORRIBLE BUSINESS and they tried to KEEP MY MONEY! Had to contact hotels.com to take care of it.
