Worst EXPERIENCE ever
I have traveled the world for the past 40 years, I have stayed at youth to 5 stars hotels and this experience at the Hyatt Regency in Merida Mexico was the most horrible travel nightmare I’ve ever encountered. We were thrown out of the hotel due to a employee strike a 280 room hotel, and I did not find accommodations to stay for my god Childs wedding‘s and I had to travel back home.

Everyone is friendly and helpful. The hotel location is excellent. The room decor lacks soul, so you could be anywhere in the US in 1970. That said, my dining experiences were delightful and varied — from brunch to poolside nachos to room service to elegant Italian. I would return in a heartbeat. I felt safe and comfortable.

Watch out with the Taxi service outside the Hotel, they will over charge you especially if you have kids and want to go out. The hotel has no good drinks all the Bartenders are new. Poor drink selection.
