Upon arrival, my booking was not found even though I paid and recevied confirmation by email from hotels.com. For 2 hours, I had to discuss the matter with both the check-in staff and simultaneously reach hotels.com support. I booked two rooms, and due to the missing reservation I was promised an upgrade. Which I did not get. The view from our rooms was the back of the hotel and huge ventilation boxes. The so-called balcony that was listed in the description of the rooms was a joke. Perhaps a child could fit to stand on it. The rooms were cleaned, though. When my family and I went up to the rooftop pool, we received pool towels; these were severely stained, and one even had hair stuck in it. The weather was a bit windy, so we just ordered some food in the pool bar; the food was a disaster. My daughters chose pasta, one with white sauce, which literally was plain cream, and the other with tomato sauce that tasted more like canned baby food. I ordered the Margarita pizza, and I am quite sure the cheese was bad since I ended up with food poisoning later that night. We complained to the staff, and he just laughed. We later went down to the indoor pool, and the entire floor felt like it hadn't been renovated since the 80s; the pool was so dirty it had yellow lines along the inside above the surface. My wife thought it was discoloration in the tiles, so she rubbed a finger, and just like that, the tile was white again. This is SUPPOSED to be a 4-star hotel...
