We only stayed one night on Orient Beach but wish we had stayed longer. La Playa was a great location close to the small town. Staff held our bags on arrival and check out day so we could maximize time. They even put our wine in the refrigerator to stay cool. The room was large and spacious. The AC unit worked well. The shower was amazing!! It’s nice to have the efficiency kitchen. We had tea and coffee. Breakfast service ends early but Good Morning Cafe serves breakfast all day. The owner was so kind and chatted with us. The people in town were kind also. Everyone spoke good English. The hotel pool is small but shady which is nice for escaping the beach. The chairs and cushions and umbrellas were so nice to have. Beach is topless so be careful with school age kids who may notice. We understand why La Playa has been in business for 30 years- they know what they are doing and the location is top notch. (10-15 minute taxi to Grand Case). Staff had dining recommendations and arranged for our taxi to and from GC.
