The hotel itself is clean, pleasant, and in a great location. Unfortunately, our experience was affected by the location of our ground-floor room, which was extremely close to the neighbouring restaurant’s outdoor seating area.
The noise continued until around 1 a.m., and we could hear conversations, music, and even the sound of cutlery being placed on plates. Our bed was literally only three metres from the nearest table, which made it difficult to relax and sleep properly.
The host explained that the unusually high noise level was due to a local holiday, which we understand. However, we feel that the room’s location means that noise is likely to be an issue regardless of special occasions.
Overall, it was a disappointing stay in this respect, although the hotel itself was clean and the location was very convenient.
