There were a number of problems. The primary reason I booked this property was because of its large outdoor hot tub/spa; however, when I asked the front desk person who checked me in what the pool hours were, she informed me that they were from 10am to 10pm but that the hot tub was out of service. That wasn't good.
When I actually went to do some swimming in the early evening, I had to have the front desk open up the pool area because they had pad locked it shut. It was obvious that they were hoping guests wouldn't use the pool area. Also, the sign indicating that the hot tub was out of service looked like it had been out there for weeks. It was getting crinkled from the exposure to the elements over time.
When I called Hotels.com to file a complaint about the hot tub, the person at the front desk of the hotel told the Hotels.com agent that they had called me prior to my stay to inform me about the situation with the hot tub. This simply wasn't true.
Beyond this, breakfast was horrible with almost no choices. Interestingly, there were a number of high grade condiments, but absolutely nothing to put them on. No eggs, no bacon, no biscuits and gravy, almost nothing.
I had an almost identical experience with a Townplace Suites last summer in a different location, so I am beginning to sense a pattern: Hot tubs out of service, nothing for breakfast, so I won't be staying with Townplace Suites any time soon.
