It was basically everything. When I checked in, they asked if I wanted an upgrade. I asked what the options were. They told me a suite, which has a bedroom and a room with a coach that pulls out. I said yes. The “suite” turned out to be a regular room with 2 double beds. When I told them about it, they apologized and said people who are “training” and checked me in don’t know about the rooms yet. Then, in the “suite,” at around 10pm, the smoke alarm started to chirp. When it didn’t stop after about 10 min, I went down to tell them it was chirping. They said they would come to fix it. After about 30 min, I went down to check on them and also to get some water for my kids. They told me the water dispenser in the lobby is only on in the morning. And that I can buy water from the gas station. After an hour of the alarm chirping, I went down upset. It was after 11, and I needed to get to bed with my 7yo. They told me that I could leave if I was so mad. Finally, they told me they can’t fix the alarm. And the best they can do is to switch my room. Which they did, but only after giving me room keys that didn’t work, and they needed to use a master key to open the door because “the system was shut down.” At around midnight, we were finally able to go to bed. Also, the entire hotel wreaked of cigarette smoke.
