On arrival, we went straight to our room. At first glance it seemed acceptable, although the bed looked like very little effort had been made in preparing it.
We were hungry, so we went to the bar for drinks and food, which were reasonably priced. When we returned to the room later and got into bed, I went to the bathroom and noticed dirty towels in the shower. I would normally have gone to reception at that point, but it was late and we had an early start the next morning.
In the morning, it became even clearer that the room had not been cleaned after the previous guests. There were no tea bags or supplies, and it was obvious we had slept in a bed that had not been changed.
I went to reception to request fresh towels and tea items. The lady on duty was very apologetic and brought replacements immediately, which I appreciated. However, given the circumstances, I would have expected some form of acknowledgment or goodwill gesture, such as a partial refund.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won’t be staying again.
