Our room was never cleaned despite multiple requests. The room itself was reasonably pleasant, and the front desk staff were polite. But the lack of regular housekeeping for a three day stay was unacceptable. Part of the pleasure of staying in a hotel is to have the bed made, sink, cleaned, and towels refreshed.
We checked in on a Friday evening and then went out for the day on Saturday. When we returned to the hotel on Saturday evening, our room had not been cleaned. We went down to the front desk to raise our concern and get fresh towels. Ofelia at the desk told us that we weren’t entitled to our room being cleaned because we were only staying two nights. We confirmed that our reservation was for three nights. She then apologized and said she would put our names on the list to make sure that our room was cleaned on Sunday. On Sunday morning when we left the hotel, we spoke with the Front Desk person to verify that our room would be cleaned that day, and we assured that it would be. When we returned on Sunday evening, our room had not been cleaned. We asked for the manager to call us, which never happened either that evening or the next morning. When we checked out on Monday and raised our concerns about what had happened with housekeeping, we were told that we would get Marriott points in compensation. And even this has not happened.
We are quite disappointed as we generally like the Marriott brand.
