A 30s couple staying in Dublin for 3 nights. Location is great, right on the bus route from the airport. Far is €2 coins only
The bus stops right outside and also goes straight into the city in around 10-15 mins all day and night every few minutes
A taxi home was around €15 one night
We recommend buying the go city pass and downloaded their app. For €80 we got the pass for 2 days and included free entry into Guinness storehouse (a bit commercialized) and the Jameson distillery tour (highly recommend) also 40 other attractions and the hop on hop off tour bus. There are cheaper options for 1 day passes.
We recommend Murray's bar on O'Connell street, from the outside a charming small pub, once inside it has multiple floors and a huge beer garden, it comes alive at night with free bands, Irish dancing at 830 and music til late. I think 0230 at weekends. It's recommended to book a table and eat there so you can see the dancing but we got lucky and walked in and there is limited seating at the bar
A restaurant recommendation from us is Mr S, Camden street, such good food!
In terms of the hotel, as you can tell we didn't spend much time there. The bar was always a good atmosphere and nice and busy but easy to find a seat, the service good and the drinks are great and well priced! We didn't try the breakfast but the cafe across the road did not disappoint! Also a lidl next door open early and late which is handy!
The hotel was clean, staff very good. Absolutely would visit again.
