Royal wreck of a hotel
Compromised getting a larger room for a sea view and discovered that the view was obscured by scaffolding!
We were not informed that he hotel was undergoing refurbishment although from the state of the place , it is desperately in need of a total refurb!
Rooms were drab, tired and unwelcoming. Furniture old and broken. Dull decor.
Reception was like going into a dungeon! Whatever possessed the owners to paint it dark blue?
The same with the restaurant/dining room named the fat badger so maybe represented a badger sett) Dark blue walls with brown furniture and carpet. Decor lacking in taste . Very disappointed with whole experience.
The only saving grace was the staff who were friendly and helpful despite having to work in such a depressing hole.
