I was mildly disappointed with my stay at Vale Resort. The disappointment started when I messaged the hotel through hotels.com where I made the booking and no one responded for over 24hrs. Someone should be monitoring this email address.
So after no one replied, I called up the hotel more than a day later, I could not get an answer and instead got an automated message asking me to leave details. By that afternoon, still no one had called me back. So I called again and did get an answer this time. The next day, I also got a call back.. but given the amount this place costs, I would expect much better communication standards and much less hassle for me.
The advert for the hotel also currently states on hotels.com that 'free valet parking' is available. When I arrived and asked about this, the lady on the desk sort of smirked at me and said no such thing was available. I explained that I believed the listing on hotels.com detailed this service and she said she would check. But a few days later the advert still incorrectly lists this service(I took screen shots). I don't really care about valet parking, but I think the hotel should take a lot more seriously the fact that they have a misleading listing.
The spa was ok.. though it was hard to get a go in the hot tubs due to a couple of groups just camped out there for a very long period. I was disappointed no robes were provided in the room, I have never experienced a spa in this country that does not provide robes.
