Our stay at the Lake Lodge Hostel was great! Staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations. They provided a bus pass to get into Interlaken and back for the duration of our stay which was an added bonus. Although there’s no air conditioning, it cooled down at night and we had no problems sleeping. Definitely recommend staying in this hostel!

Just one thing to keep in mind, the staff is available only from 8am to 11am and 4pm to 8pm. So if you are planning to come from 11am to 4pm, then you gotta wait. No other option. The perfect location for those who love nature and the outdoors. We had a car so it was really easy to drive to hiking spots but they provide bus passes for those who need it for the duration of your stay! This property is GORGEOUS. The views are absolutely insane. The shared toilet situation isn’t so bad considering there are 2 on the main floor, 2 on the first, 2 on the second, and 1 on the third, with a multitude of showers as well. They also have a washer and dryer which is awesome. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything, but the rooms are quaint and cabin-esque, the views are insane, the staff is so friendly, and the restaurant across the stress is delicious and not too expensive. There’s also a full convenience store with food to cook in the kitchen in the lodge! Would definitely recommend.

Location and location that’s the only sell of the property. Very bad smell inside. Needs complete cleaning and beds are not comfortable. You get what you pay for the location. Might work out for 1-2 days if you are with family but not longer.
