Not the worst hotel I’ve stayed at, but……
Not the best either. This May have been a 4 star at one point, many years ago but certainly not 4 star service now. Aircon ineffective. Rooms dated. No tea or coffee facilities in the room but there was a small minibar - if you don’t mind the drinks at room temp and out of a bottle. There are no cups or glasses in the rooms and when we asked at reception on the evening, the response was less than helpful. The receptionist bluntly didn’t want to be disturbed and told us that the bar etc were shut (11pm, when most 4 star hotels would still be at the very least providing room service) and that there were no glasses available anywhere. Very strange hotel. More like Faulty Towers

Hotel Windsor is a nice modern hotel not too far from the Milan Centrale train station. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and look recently refreshed. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and speak excellent English. Their attached restaurant, the Clotilde Bistrot, was very good with lots of traditional Milanese fare. The provided breakfast buffet is also excellent. The only downside is that the lower floors hear a lot of street noise. We stayed facing the street on the first floor and the noise from the streetcars was loud, and the vibrations would shake the whole room. Perhaps it’s different at higher floors. However, overall a very nice hotel.

Stayed 3 nights. Room did NOT look like the pictures. When we were given our room the 1st day, the bathroom light did not work and the shower did not drain. We told reception right away and we went to explore. On our way back, they told us everything was fixed. The did fix the light but not the shower. It continued to flood for the next 2 nights until the last night, water did not drain at all causing water to go from the bathroom to the bedroom and more. Only then, when the room was a disaster, we were offered another room “if we needed it”, not even a partial refund. Location was ok, about 20’ walking to Duomo, 15’ to Milano Centrale, located in the “financial district”. Breakfast was the best thing with buffet and impecable service.
