Unacceptable experience from start to finish.
We arrived at check-in time and were made to wait over an hour past the stated check-in time. This was after driving 3 hours with a one year old baby that we needed to get into the room and change her diaper and get freshened up. When we were finally given access to our room after 5:00 PM, cleaning staff were still inside, which is completely unacceptable.
I requested a toddler bed immediately after booking. It was not in the room. Housekeeping told us they would notify the front desk to have one delivered. That never happened. After returning from dinner (we missed our original reservation because we couldn’t get into our room) and still not having a toddler bed, we went to the front desk, where we were then told that they do not have toddler beds at all. Why wasn’t I told this? They had multiple chances to tell me, yet never did.
This left us in an unsafe situation with a one year old child and no safe place for her to sleep. As a result, I had to sit up all night on the couch to ensure she did not fall out of the bed and injure herself.
This experience was unacceptable and extremely stressful. I will never stay at this hotel again and will be leaving appropriately worded reviews on Yelp and Google if we’re not given a 100% refund. I honestly think this is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. And I haven’t even mentioned the room was not clean. We did not use the shower because of the smell.
