NEVER AGAIN
To begin, there was no one at the desk. I had to call a number, per the sign by the phone, and it rang in the back office. The office door was open, and it was totally dark. No one was back there working. Sleeping, I'm sure. Taking an afternoon nap, I'm sure, but definitely not working. That attendant was also very unfriendly. Now, I acknowledge early check-in is not an entitlement. It is not a right. However, I travel a lot, and I have never been denied early check-in. I especially have never been told there was a $30 charge for early check-in. Unbelievable! Further, I had requested a king. I have no problem with two queens, and I have accepted that many times elsewhere. I just thought I would free up that double queen room for others. So, after getting a late lunch while I waited until the official check-in time, I go to check in and I'm told my room with a king is not ready yet. So, I was denied early check-in and come back only to be denied the room I requested. I was given the excuse of someone showing up late for work, but that's no excuse to a paying customer. I was also very disappointed there are no in-room coffee makers. It is annoying to me I have to go out the lobby and MAYBE be able to get some coffee. I say maybe because, believe it or not, well into the posted breakfast hours, at 7am, the coffee bullet was empty and there was NO ONE attending to business there. Moving forward, I will sleep in a ditch before I stay at another Super 8.
