When you check in they give you a piece of paper that says on weekdays they do a light cleaning, which includes making the bed, refreshing towels, emptying garbage bins and replacing amenities. To my utter surprise, when I returned to my room on Monday night, my bed was not made, an entire roll of garbage bags was left in the bathroom, there was a towel literally left inside the sink, and most disgusting of all they placed a bath towel right on the toilet. I asked front desk what happened. They told me the manager isn't in, but they will tell the manager and schedule a full cleaning for the next day. But this time when I came back to my room Tuesday evening, I find nobody had even entered my room. Shocked, once again I went to the front desk and asked what happened. They didn't know and said they'll ask the manager to call me the next morning. But unsurprisingly I never receive a call, so I call the hotel in the afternoon and am told the manager is busy but not to worry my room will be cleaned the next day. But after explaining I had already left messages for the manager twice, I didn't believe they would clean the room considering I am being completely ignored. So I was told to hold a second, and magically the manager was suddenly free to talk. She had the room cleaned for the first time on Wednesday. But then to my utter surprise, I return to my room Thursday night, and once again the room was not cleaned. Just some towels, excluding a floor mat were left on a table.
