10/10 Exceptional

The hotel was amazing, the ghosts room was fun if not a tight squeeze. Food and drink are amazing, several local products. Parking is opposite the hotel and from what I can see was safe

Denise, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The room was clean and modern and also with a walk in shower bathroom. The staff at reception were most welcoming, the bar staff were a bit slow but they were dealing with foreign guests who were unfamiliar with the local currency. Parking was across a main road from the hotel but it is not too busy for crossing to the hotel. The car park can fill up at times so your not always guaranteed a space. Overall, I would rate the hotel as excellent for business or pleasure.

Great place to stay before catching the ferry to Scotland. Room was clean and cozy with a great view. Loved all the history about the castle.

6/10 Good

Lovely hotel. Very grand. However, I felt as though the lady checking us in at the desk couldn’t care less. There was no welcome, and no greeting. She seemed annoyed by the whole thing. The room was lovely but stifling. The radiator controls were meaningless. Opening the window resulted in a strong odor of frying grease filling the room as the window opened out to the kitchen roof and exhaust vents.
Julian, 1-night trip

Great stay, had everything we needed!

It was our first time going away with our new addition to our family, our little newborn baby boy, to celebrate my birthday, and the hotel were fantastic, really accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed to make it comfortable and so easy to be away from home!
