I found this lodge at the last minute and had a great experience. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and it had everything I needed, including hot water. It’s also very close to the Village and the lake. Highly recommend!

I don’t like leaving a poor review but wish I’d had more insight before booking. Room was dirty & neglected. Same with the grounds. The lady that checked us in left a line of customers in the lobby for 10+ mins then was cold and not welcoming. There was a younger man that helped us when we needed another blanket for the pull out bed and he was great. We did like how close it was to the Village. I’ll looo elsewhere next time.

The room was adequate and clean on arrival. The shower was adequate and both the Wi-Fi and TV worked well. There is plenty of parking outside and the front desk gave us extra towels when we asked. Both the wall heater and gas fireplace worked ok (the gas wall furnace made some ticking noises that is caused by the metal contracting when it turned off everytime though).

Check in was stressful. The person that checked us in was on the phone the whole time so the info that was given to us was confusing. Hotel rooms are a bit run down and even though it’s a great location in the heart of big bear it’s located on a high traffic zone so getting in and out of the hotel wasn’t the easiest. Won’t stay here again.
