The bed was comfortable and the tea was nice, and the check-in staff were friendly (although we had to wait quite a while to be met and escorted to the check-in desk which was not on the ground floor). Otherwise, pretty average really. All taps were really bad, very difficult (stiff or seized) to turn on and off. The shower hand set was broken, the TV was extremely slow to get anything and although the instructions said you could watch terrestrial TV, that was not an option.
We tried to get a drink in the bar downstairs and even though there were people sitting in the bar, the waitress would not let us in, saying they were closed. This was at 10.30pm, i.e. not late. (Just in case you're wondering, we are presentable 65 year-olds, and were not inebriated.)
