The room upon entering seemed clean enough. No obvious uncleanliness. But after settling in for the night, noticed that the smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag, in a way that hindered any smoke detection- called the front desk at discovery, and was told that there was nothing they could do until 10AM the next day when there was someone from maintenance there. When I asked about moving to another room, they did not have anything available because they were sold out. Unfortunately we didn’t have a choice and stayed. The next morning I asked to speak to a manager, the lady at the front desk was the kindest, I did not catch her name though, and she took note of the issue and had the bag removed asap.
The breakfast wasn’t what one would call a breakfast, more like a coffee and or packed Hostess style granola and patries. Which for someone with dietary restrictions, that’s not really breakfast. It’s sugar, but we had the ability to cook in our room so I don’t make anything of it. On our second to last day, the elevators went down without notice- I was in the 5th floor and have a disability. I can’t clins stairs, defending them is difficult. I defended the stair way, and informed them- the front desk person who also happen to be the maintenance person, took some kind of key to the elevator box and started it. That left me feeling uneasy- because it shouldn’t be that easy to have an elevator malfunction. Also, mold in bathroom.
The laundry facility is really clean.
