Arameras Resort is a great choice for travellers seeking seclusion and tranquillity in Ksamil. The resort is beautifully designed with a unique paved garden layout and buggies to take guests around. The bungalow-style rooms are nestled within the gardens and feature modern décor, smart TVs, fridges and freezer compartments. The overall aesthetic is the cleanest in Ksamil.
There are however areas that could be improved. For such a secluded resort, additional spa facilities such as a sauna, jacuzzi or massage treatments, along with some evening entertainment, would be a great addition. The resort has padel, tennis and basketball courts, plus a stunning infinity pool. We visited at the end of the season when daytime temperatures were 27°C but the pool was too cold to comfortably swim in. A temperature-controlled pool would allow guests to enjoy it beyond peak summer especially as the sea is also too cold outside peak season.
If you’re not comfortable with reptiles, I’d recommend avoiding a garden-facing room. We had a lizard in ours which unfortunately affected our sleep. Thankfully Johnny at reception dealt with it promptly and provided excellent service.
Breakfast is another area for improvement with limited vegetarian options, some stale food and flies around the display.
Overall, Albania is still developing as a tourist destination, but the people are incredibly friendly and hardworking. With more investment in guest experience, Arameras has great potential.
