I chose this hotel primarily for its location, but also because it advertised convenient on-site dining options. I checked in at 8:40 p.m. and reasonably expected to be able to order dinner after a long day of travel.
At check-in, the front desk attendant told me I could scan a QR code in my room to order delivery from a restaurant across the street. After scanning the code, I learned the restaurant was not accepting orders due to trivia night. I returned to the front desk to ask about alternative options and was told I could order food at the lobby bar. However, when I went to the bar, I was informed that the kitchen was already closed.
It was frustrating to book this hotel based on the convenience of dining options, only to find that none were actually available. If food service is limited or subject to frequent closures, that should be clearly communicated so guests can plan accordingly.
