We stayed mainly to utilize the waterpark for our 3 kids ages 5, 7, and 8. It definitely has something for all ages- toddler area, hot tub, 2 pretty fast slides, lazy river, ropes course, and play area where a big bucket of water dumps on you. We live in the UP, so this is exciting for us because we don't have any waterparks up there. There are those big animal heads (moose, deer, etc) everywhere. Just want to note that because it's very woodsy, hunter ambiance
My issues: rooms are dated, the bathroom was small (sink is outside the bathroom), and the staff were unfriendly at check-in. I liked how comfortable the beds were and the high quality pillows. This is the 2nd time we've stayed and I did not feel very welcomed by the staff both times. So I think they could work on actually greeting their guests and saying something like, welcome to Tundra Lodge, we are so glad you chose to stay here! Or patiently explain where everything is like the restaurant and waterpark. But they seemed annoyed and matter-of-fact. So adjust your expectations and it won't feel as harsh. It is really hot inside the water park part, so you will need to drink lots of water and take breaks because I began to feel dizzy when I realized I was probably dehydrated. If you stay on-site with little ones, I would recommend taking breaks in your room every couple hours possibly to recharge. We skipped the buffet breakfast so I can't comment on the food. Overall, my family had a great time.
