I am a loyal customer of Hampton Inn especially when we go to LA for our Universal and Disney trip every year. Since it was a short trip to the bay, i decided to book Hampton and try it in the area. The place itself is actually better than that one we stay at LA. The room we got was nice and spacious. Downside? Customer service is horrible. When we checked in, they gave us first floor (i asked for a higher floor because of privacy issue. I like my windows open for bright light). front desk said no available rooms coz they’re fully booked. I guess i didn't have a choice. That night, I asked for 2 extra pillows and the guy who answered the phone was very rude! They said they are all out. Im like hmmmm this is the first time i’ve heard about it. Cause every time i ask pillows they have some to spare. Later that night, my husband and my daughter went out to check some goodies to buy and my husband was surprised it was too expensive $22 worth of only 4 small items so my husband said no cancel it, but the same big guy who helped him got a nasty attitude telling my husband he already punched it in and he was insisting to my husband to pay, my husband was like no never mind. So he walked out and he seen that the guy mumbled to his co worker. Such a disappointment on how their customer service in this location. So what happened to the “Making you happy makes us happy”? Wont be coming back in this location.
