Great gem in small downtown.

When travel takes me to The County, nothing beats Northeastland for my accommodations. Their upgrades to modernize a hotel with over 100 years of history have been amazing.

Nice restaurant. Hotel, good location, dingy and needed to be furbished on the first floor rooms.

Kind staff at check in. Brittany was great and Nicole was our waitress and phenomenal! We don’t get away much and it was nice to come to a place that was so nice. The dinner and drinks were absolutely delicious!

Best spot for business travel.

Very well executed renovation and the best option in town for business travel. Everything is within walking distance, and the best meal north of Camden/Rockland is in the hotel. I also love the non-profit mission.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. Only negative was the condition (cracked pavement, holes) of the parking lot.
Rebecca, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

A great hotel. One inconvenience, the elevator was not working. Otherwise, a clean comfortable room, a great hotel restaurant, reasonable rates. A downtown hotel in walking distance from stores and restaurants.
Claire, 4-night trip

I enjoy staying at the northeastland because it is always clean and welcoming. I recommend it to everybody I meet

Great location for dining, shopping. We were there on a weekend and were able to walk to breakfast and to the Farmer's Market. Quiet and really large rooms. Was under renovation while we were there - but really didn't inconvenience in any way. We will stay there again when we visit Presque Isle.
Seth, 2-night trip

Bathroom is extremely small. Elevator was not working. Hotel is convenient

Affordable

Very happy with the room. It was very roomy, clean, quiet and comfortable for the price. The only down fall for us, was that we were not able to access the restuarant on-site for we were told that they were booked..
Lisa, 1-night trip

Very pleasant stay

went up for a class reunion - I was aware the hotel was under renovations - not an issue for us. Room was clean, and the beds so comfortable. Places to get breakfast close by if the bagged breakfast didn't have what you wanted. Front desk clerks and housekeeping all very pleasant and friendly. So quite, no noise in the hall ways in the evening, very relaxing. Enjoyed our stay.
Laurie, 5-night trip

The staff were outstanding! They were all so friendly, helpful and professional. The bed, linens and pillows were the most comfortable of any hotel I have ever stayed in-just luxurious! The lobby is welcoming and it is so nice to be able to get a cup of coffee with cream downstairs in the morning. Just a great spot! Close to the airport but right downtown. Don’t miss this gem.
VICTORIA L, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

I was placed in the last room in the back of the building, by the exit door that slammed shut. There were no mesh curtains to allow natural light in and block the view into my room from people standing in the parking lot (unsafe). The room is very dated. The hotel was not fully booked and they could have placed me in a different room. The restaurant was great (staff, food, atmosphere). The crew at the hotel were very nice and professional.
Corey, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

We were out in a newly renovated room. The bed was super high and super uncomfortable! The room was otherwise very nice but the bed was a downgrade from our previous stays
Richard, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Elevator was broken had to climb up and down the stairs with luggage. The AC was broke in the first room so the moved us to another room. The room smelled like stale cigarettes, but the AC worked. The next day we were moved to another room and it was fine. We had booked a king bed and ended up with two queens. The hotel staff did their best to help.
Rick, 3-night trip

4/10 Fair

The staff was unprofessional, I wear charges twice and am still fighting to get m money back. A drunk guest tried to get into my room. The bathroom was tiny, no amenities

4/10 Fair

Stay elsewhere

Under construction all services shut down front desk is located in a converted room with folding table very interesting . during check in i was told construction crew only worked Monday - Thursday and started day late..If you considerer 7am late dumpster block entrance to elevator, and conference room. I know its an old place in need of major change .. hopefully then can finish soon don't think i will stay until then
aaron, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I wanted to love it.

PROS: The common areas have been updated and are very nice. The Restaurant as well. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Beds were very comfortable.Location and parking were excellent. Room was spacious and clean. CONS: Elevator not yet working. The room had an odor and had a wrinkled faded green rug with blonde furniture and paintings from the 80s. The rooms need desperately to be redone like the rest of the place. No water pressure at all in the shower. OLD and stained toilet seat.Chairs were old and I sank in them. Restaurant not open for breakfast or on Sundays and there was no continental breakfast offered.

Huge Renovations Not Disclosed When Booking

The hotel information we were given was inaccurate and misleading. The Northeastland is undergoing extensive renovations and that was NOT disclosed on booking our stay. Many of the amenities are not accessible despite what the website says. The entrance and restaurant were totally under plastic, so we didn’t have access to a hot breakfast, or our plans to eat at the restaurant. It took us 15 minutes to find the front desk. And as I said: NONE of this was disclosed. We found out at check-in, which was very disappointing, because of the misinformation, but also because it was too late to book anywhere else.

Very nice hotel right in the heart of the city.
