I have stayed here 4 times, in room 8 and had an amazing experience every time. I booked nearly 3 months in advance, and requested room 8. I have mobility issues and there is a lift to the first floor, and this room has a walk in shower.
On arrival at the hotel, check in was very quick, but there was no conversation, we were told to follow the corridor and our room.was on the first floor. I got to the lift, and it was out of order, and remained so for the duration of the stay. This posed quite a problem for me negotiating 3 flights of stairs. I feel that bookings should have been notified about the lift. To my further dismay, i was in room 6, which had an over bath shower. This was very problematic for me. The room was lovely, although there was a half empty bottle of water in the fridge. We ate what we thought was a complimentary mini tub of pringles, only to discover they were £2.50. At check out i volunteered this information to be told i would be billed by housekeeping. Check out was very quick and easy, mainly because thats all the lady said.
This is a beautiful place to stay, in a gorgeous location, and while i would stay again for this reason, Ive come away feeling somewhat disappointed.
