Great place to stay if traveling on a budget! I stayed in the 6 person co-ed dorm. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Very friendly staff, especially Dwayne at the bar! Excellent common areas with a full kitchen and fridge/pantry to store any food. Only a 5 minute walk to the bus stop which will get you pretty much anywhere in the county. Lots of shopping and dining within walking distance.

I hadn’t stayed at a spot like this before, but I found the unique experience suited me well! I really enjoyed my stay at The Block. I booked a twin bed in the male-only 8-bed room and it was great! Super clean, comfortable bed, well kept common areas and bathroom. The bar was especially superb. Struck up a great convo with the bartender and talked hockey for hours. I didn’t need to use the community kitchen or other facilities, but they appeared to be just as good as everything else. I highly recommend The Block if you’re looking for a unique experience at a very affordable rate. 5 stars isn’t enough!!
