The hotel had everything we needed for our hiking trip to the Crater Lake NP. The place is not massive. It's privately owned therefore the owner(s) is very attentive and personable.
Location: easy 1 hour to 1 hr 15 min into the Crater Lake hiking trails. There's a market within 3 minutes from the hotel where you can find almost anything. The drive from the hotel into the park is very nice.
The hotel itself:
-Very clean and spacious. We stayed in the King room suite #15
-The yard is well kept with a lot of rose bushes planted along yard.
-The room is fully stocked with K-Cup coffees, toilet papers, towels and other necessities. But if you need additional items, they have a couple of golf-carts that could get to your room in a few seconds to bring you what you need.
-It was hot (upper 90 degree), and humid but the AC works wonderfully.
- There's a river behind the property, and we caught a family of 3 deers wandered on the lawn and then swam across the river to the other side of the bank. It was a wonderful site to be seen.
Overall, we absolutely enjoyed our 3-nite stay at the Riverfront Lodge in Shady Cove, and highly recommend for your next lodging near the Crater Lake National Park.
