The St. Charles hotel is a good place to stay if you are looking for a great location to stay. It's within walking distance of restaurants and close to places to visit. However the WiFi network does kick out a lot.

We got to the hotel and they had overbooked rooms. People were crying cause they had no where else to stay. We had to drive an hour away to stay at another hotel. The front desk had zero empathy. We had relatives concerned we had booked there and now we know why.

We didn’t see the front desk staffed often. The hotel has all the basics in the room but our linens were in rough shape. One of the towels had a hole in it and the duvet had a burn mark and a stain. It will do in a pinch.

We had a confirmed reservation for a busy weekend. When we arrived they told us they didn’t have a room for us and they were fully booked. The receptionist was completely unhelpful and made no attempt to help us in any way. There were at least five other guests in the same circumstances.

Pleasant for a short stay. Excellent location with shops, restaurants and farmers market in walking distance. The Hotel is outdated but very clean and the staff was pleasant.

Unfortunately, the hotel stay was disappointing. The facility is old and in need of renovation, cleanliness was poor, especially in the breakfast area, and the staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations.

the hotel needs to be better maintained. The window in our room was unable to close, it had been duck taped! We asked the manager to please fix with tape, if needed, for our overnight stay. It was not done when we returned that evening. We will not be going back.

We had an alright stay here, after having read reviews saying that people were turned away after they had already confirmed their reservation and after showing their confirmations we made sure to get there early to check in and avoid any issues. We were fine however we saw multiple people being told they had no reservations for them even though they had confirmations. I would advise anyone staying there to get there at 2pm to try to check in, and make sure to avoid losing your room to someone else.

The place was clean and reasonably priced and perfectly located for a jaunt around Hudson. However one of the lamps in my room wasn’t functional and there was no hair dryer. Small things but noticeable. The details are small but noticeable. But I would stay there again of traveling to Hudson

The new owners of this old hotel are trying valiantly to give it a new makeover. What they have accomplished to date is impressive. Though more works needs to be done, the place adequately meets the basic needs of travelers at a very reasonable price.

I had a wonderful stay at the St. Charles Hotel. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any questions or requests. The hotel's central location made it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and local attractions, which was a huge plus. If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay with excellent service and a convenient location, I would definitely recommend the St. Charles Hotel.

Staff was friendly and held our bags after checkout time as we had a late train out! It is an older building, and rooms are a bit small, but overall a decently priced option, and had everything needed for a hotel stay!

The room itself was serviceable but the hotel is in really rough shape. Bizarre smell on lobby, absent staff at front desk. It’s fine if all you need is a roof over your head in a town where most hotels are pricey but it’s cheap for a reason…
