What a beautiful place to stay. They provide everything you would need. Please be aware that a lot of restaurants and wineries are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, wish we would have known this when planning our trip.

The area was quiet/very peaceful. Loved the cottage. It was spaceaious and clean with individualized thermostat control. The multiple fireplaces, steam shower, in room jacuzzi, and deck hot tub were our favorite amenities. Those were the reasons we booked at the Hermann Inn. Snacks and drinks for us to consume during our stay were waiting for us when we arrived. The local people were really nice and friendly. There wasn't a lot to do in the area for entertainment. But its a cute little town to visit if you just want to enjoy nature and visit a few wineries. And many are closed on Mondays. Even a few that list open on Mondays on their website. My only 2 complaints are 1. The protective sheet on the bed had some stains on it. Had to remove the sheet and fitted sheet to see them. This is why I typically take my own sheets when I travel. It appeared it may have been laundered but....and 2. When booking on Expedia the pic of the cottage deck was different than actual property. But I went directly to facility webpage and viewed their pics prior to purchasing. As well as Expedia doesn't state their fee does not include the use of the hot tub, hot gourmet breakfast and welcoming tray. Thankfully the property notified us and we were able to add it on for an additional fee. Also I would recommend checking the prices through both Expedia and the facility and compare prior to booking. ... Overall if you're considering visiting the area Hermann Inn Cottages I highly recommend.

The hot tub had grime and paint chips. Almost every wall had huge gaps in the corners. I think the suite we stayed in was private and probably really cool back in 2003 when it was last updated. I think for $400 a night I should be getting more than a nice view and a burnt cookie.

Beautiful room with a fireplace, comfy bed, and balcony over-looking the vineyard and lovely town of Hermann. They deliver warm cookies and ice cream every evening! They had brats and frozen margaritas in the evening. If you want a full breakfast, though, you have to pay extra...we did not know that until we arrived. All in all, a beautiful place and I would love to stay there again!

Really extraordinary in design layout, features, and thoughtful add-ons. Beautiful view, see-through fireplace, steam shower, well equipped kitchen, comfy bed, etc. Have stayed at many fine hotels and condos -- never seen one this well equipped. The train tracks run below at the base of the cliff, but limited noise gets up to the room. Try the little fireplace/therapy fireplace next to the whirlpool tub. Robes, phone by the toilet, you name it. The town is nice, too!
