During my stay, my experience was far below acceptable standards. Upon arrival, I waited over 20 minutes at the front desk before anyone appeared to check me in. I was then placed on a floor filled with an entire college football team whose noise and activity kept me up throughout the night.
The next morning, I requested clean sheets and a new comforter from housekeeping, but the attendant informed me there was a “five-day rule” and that bedding could not be changed before five days — even upon request. This policy is unsanitary and unacceptable. When I went to the front desk for help, the clerk responded with an attitude, making me feel like my request for clean bedding was unreasonable.
Additionally, my room had a constant ticking noise coming from the wall, the bathroom contained pubic hair that I had to clean myself, and the “non-smoking” room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I had to go to Wal-Mart and buy Lysol.
This experience was extremely disappointing, uncomfortable, and well below the standards expected from a hotel listed through Hotels.com. I am requesting a refund or travel credit for the inconvenience and poor conditions I endured. Please forward this complaint to hotel management and confirm receipt as soon as possible.
