Check-in was fairly smooth, although it appeared the gentleman who checked us in was new, so it took a little bit more them than normal. We didn't receive a warm and fuzzy welcome and seemed to be a bit of an inconvenience to take them away from their work.
Upon check-in we noticed extreme humidity. I noticed a dehumidifier in the hallway, however the entire room was damp. (This was entire hotel, not just our room.) The room seemed fairly clean upon first glance, however the bedding had dirty spots that we noticed later and the bathroom floor wasn't super clean. The pool area was closed/boarded up which would have been nice to know in advance. Breakfast was below average as well for a hotel offering the free service. They did have waffles, sausage and gravy, cereal, bagels, and bread. There were eggs in the refrigerator that you had to warm up yourself. Coffee cups were mini sized which I also felt was off. We just just grabbed coffee and went to the local coffee shop in town for breakfast, as we don't expect a gourmet meal at these places. In summary, it was not terrible, however I would not run back to stay here. The cleanliness was not to a standard that it should be. (They did knock on our door to see if we needed anything, but didn't come in to clean our room. We were not given any soap so we asked for that and clean towels.) Customer services was also below a standard that it should be.
